Watch as Diego Hernandez, a digital artist from Mexico, plays with lighting and floral elements in this artwork called “Cempasuchil,” inspired by one of his favorite and most significant cultural traditions, the Day of the Dead.
Diego was inspired by the “Cempasuchil” flower that symbolizes the connection between the world of the living and the world of the dead, and is believed to represent the sun with its strong scent thought to help guide the spirits to their loved ones.
